It should be noted that no formal announcement has been made regarding change of use of the boat ramp.
We, the undersigned residents, visitors, boaters, anglers, and community supporters, respectfully request that the Manasota Beach Boat Ramp remain open and fully operational for public use.
The boat ramp is a vital community asset that provides safe, convenient access to our local waterways for recreational boating, fishing, eco-tourism, and family activities. It supports small businesses, enhances responsible water access, and contributes to the unique coastal character of our community.
Converting the boat ramp into a beach parking lot would permanently eliminate public water access at this location and reduce opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy our waterways. Once removed, this access cannot easily be restored.
We strongly support thoughtful solutions that improve parking, traffic flow, and beach access without sacrificing essential marine access. Our community can grow and adapt while preserving the infrastructure that serves boaters and supports our coastal economy.
